Terms of Service

1. Agreement and operator

These Terms govern the Gridlock game and online services operated by Ishaan Bery. By creating an account or using the online service, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies unless a valid custom EULA is provided in App Store Connect.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 and legally able to agree to these Terms. If you are under the age of majority, a parent or legal guardian should review these Terms with you where required. Do not create an online account if local law requires authorization you do not have.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for activity on your account and for securing the Apple or Google account used to sign in. Provide accurate eligibility information, use an appropriate display name, and promptly report unauthorized access. Accounts and purchases may not be sold, transferred, or shared for competitive manipulation.

4. Fair play

You may not falsify scores, modify or automate the client, exploit bugs, interfere with matchmaking, coordinate losses, use multiple accounts to manipulate rankings, bypass limits, reverse engineer protected server systems, access another account, or disrupt the service. The server may reject results, remove leaderboard entries, restrict features, or suspend accounts to protect fair play.

5. Social conduct

Display names and social interactions must follow the Community Guidelines. Harassment, threats, hate, sexual content, impersonation, contact-information sharing, cheating promotion, and abusive reports are prohibited. Players may report, block, or remove others. Moderation decisions may be appealed through support.

6. Game modes and availability

Rules, seeds, attempt limits, matchmaking ranges, rating formulas, seasons, missions, events, and availability may change for balance, security, or service improvements. Bronze may use clearly disclosed training bots; higher ranks may require online opponents. Unless an official promotion expressly says otherwise, competition has no cash prize or gambling value.

7. Virtual currency and cosmetics

Coins, cosmetics, Vaults, ranks, and other virtual items are licensed digital features, not property or legal tender. They have no cash value, are not transferable outside the service, and cannot be redeemed for money. Purchased coins do not expire while the service and account remain available. Earned and purchased balances may have different permitted uses.

8. Vault rewards

Vaults award randomized cosmetics. The app shows the current odds before opening: 85% Common, 10% Rare, and 5% Legendary. Duplicate items convert to the displayed earned-coin compensation. Purchased coins cannot fund randomized Vault purchases. Odds or reward pools may change prospectively, but previously completed transactions are not rerolled.

9. App Store purchases

Apple processes iOS purchases and refunds under its terms. Coin packs are consumable and Ranked Pass is an auto-renewable subscription. Gridlock version 1.0 contains no third-party advertising and does not offer an ad-removal purchase. The price and billing period displayed by Apple control. Purchases are credited after server verification and duplicate transaction IDs are not credited twice.

10. Ranked Pass

Ranked Pass provides the benefits shown before purchase, currently unlimited Ranked entries instead of the daily free-entry limit. It does not improve board generation, score calculation, matchmaking priority, or RP outcomes. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled through Apple at least as required by Apple’s billing terms. Manage or cancel through your Apple subscription settings. Eligible non-consumable and subscription entitlements can be restored in the app.

11. Updates, outages, and changes

Gridlock may be updated, maintained, modified, suspended, or discontinued. Internet, platform, security, or force-majeure events can affect availability. Reasonable efforts will be made to preserve verified purchases and account data, but uninterrupted operation is not guaranteed.

12. Suspension and termination

The operator may warn, rename, restrict, suspend, or terminate an account for material violations, fraud, chargeback abuse, security threats, or legal requirements. Where appropriate, the reason and appeal route will be provided. You may stop using Gridlock or delete your account at any time.

13. Intellectual property and feedback

Gridlock software, branding, art, audio, and content are owned by or licensed to the operator. You receive a limited, personal, revocable, non-transferable license to use the app. Feedback may be used without obligation, but ownership of your pre-existing materials remains yours.

14. Disclaimers and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available.” Nothing in these Terms excludes consumer rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded. Applicable consumer protections and rights that cannot legally be limited remain in effect.

15. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of North CAarolinna, United States, excluding conflict-of-law rules, subject to mandatory consumer protections. Disputes may be brought in a court with lawful jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer protections.

16. Changes and contact
